Free to Amazon Prime Members! Amy Stewart’s Last Bookstore in America

You guys know I’m a big fan of Garden Rant-er and author of Wicked Plants, Amy Stewart. Her clever writing and ability to unearth the stories in any topic make her books a singular pleasure to read.

If you feel the same way, then you’ll want to head on over to Amazon to pick up a copy of The Last Bookstore in America, Amy Stewart’s novel about the demise of the printed word, which is free for Amazon Prime members to borrow for the next three months. It’s available in the Kindle format, but if you don’t have a Kindle, you can also read it on your computer, smartphone, or iPad.

While this may seem a bit of a departure from the usual gardening programming, this book is notable for having the best garden writing I have ever read in any novel. My review is at the bottom of the page on Amazon.

Seriously, at this price, you have nothing to lose. (For people who aren’t Prime members, you can grab the ebook for only $3.99.) Go, get your copy now!

  1. I have two of Amy’s books – those Wicked Plants and Wicked Bugs are wicked fun, as we say in Maine – and had to go get this one just because. Thanks for the tweet that it was out there. And the irony for those who adore real books is not lost on us that it is only available through the ether.
