I was delighted to read about Amazon’s new Kindle lending library for Prime members, where we can choose from 5,300 books to borrow and read on our Kindle.
While the list of people who have both a Kindle and an Amazon Prime account may be small, if you’re on that list (like me!) I think you’ll be pretty happy with the new perk.
Some treasures I discovered while scoping out the goodness:
Urban Homesteading by Rachel Kaplan and K. Ruby Blume (my review’s here)
I Garden: Urban Style by Reggie Soloman and The Garden Rockstar, Michael Nolan (that one’s been on my wishlist – yay!)
Mini Farming: Self-Suffiency on 1/4 Acre by Brett Markham
The Everything Root Cellaring Book by Catherine Abbot (great for me as I was just wondering how in the world to store my newly-dug potatoes!)
Plus, there are lots of general home décor and lifestyle books, like Organized Simplicity, Homemade Contrivances And How to Make Them, Rustic Carpentry, and the Joy Of Keeping Chickens.
You can only borrow one book per month, so choose your reads wisely. Go here for more info on how to borrow.
