After reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying up: the Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo, I’ve been even more enthused to simultaneously save money and space by reading digitally. Digital gardening books look fantastic on an iPad, or you can always read them on your computer screen, especially reference books which are easiest to search on a laptop or desktop.
I dislike paying close to the cost of a paper book for a digital copy (given the limitations on reselling, gifting, and loaning), so when books from major publishers go on a steep discount, I jump on it. Here are my top picks for what’s on sale this month.
Essential Perennials: the Complete Reference to 2700 Perennials for the Home Garden by Ruth Rogers Clausen, Thomas Christopher, and Alan Detrick $3.49
Free-Range Chicken Gardens: How to Create a Beautiful, Chicken Friendly Yard by Jessi Bloom and Kate Baldwin $3.03
The Vegetable Gardener’s Guide to Permaculture: Creating an Edible Ecosystem by Christopher Schein and Julie Thompson $3.03
Start a Community Food Garden: the Essential Handbook by LaManda Joy $3.19
Succulents Simplified: Growing, Designing, and Crafting with 100 Easy Care Varieties by Debra Lee Baldwin $3.99
Carrots Love Tomatoes: Secrets of Companion Planting for Successful Gardening by Louise Riotte $2.99
